意大利能源公司 Alps Blockchain 将玻利维亚闲置电厂改造为比特币矿场
ChainCatcher 消息，据 Bits.media 报道，意大利能源公司 Alps Blockchain 与玻利维亚公司 Qurubiqa 合作，在玻利维亚科恰班巴省一座闲置的 127 兆瓦天然气热电厂启动了比特币挖矿。目前矿场消耗约 27 兆瓦电力，算力达 1.23 EH/s，计划年底将能耗提升至 45 兆瓦。挖矿设备直接使用电厂发电，不接入公共电网。由于玻利维亚面临货币危机和美元短缺，项目参与方以美元结算。
